What Brake system does my 1996 chevy cheyanne ext. cab small box, 2wd, V8, 5.0 Vortex, use? JB5, JB6 or JB8

I have loud air noise and hard to brake,and engine cuts off at red lights. Im pretty sure its the booster, but you know better. I would like to purchase booster.For this system what do you recomend? In order to purchase booster, I need to know which system, theres no markings on new hood or on booster. Can you please help?
