My 96 Chevy Cavalier is overheating. I tried to bleed the coolant system with the bleeder screw and some coolant along with air bubbles comes out. Plus the fan isn't kicking on. What could be the cause?"

what bleeder screw???

it sounds like air in the system. start with a thermostat. the radiator could be clogged or worse case is a blown head gasket from overheating

There's a bleeder screw in the line right in front of the motor. Would a faulty thermostat cause air in the lines?

The screw says "Do not vent while vehicles running"

no, but if the coolant level dropped, it would allow air in the system
