1996 Chevrolet Blazer Put Four Wheel Drive Now Back Two There Grinding Rubbing

I put it in four wheel drive and now when I go to put it back to two wheel drive there is a grinding are rubbing sound so I put it back to four wheel drive and it stops making noise. Can u help me

it may not be disengaging all the way check to see if the encoder motor is workingright on tcase and axle shifter
