turn on heater and steam comes out of defrost and antifreeze ran on floor

Time for a new heater core. To prevent repeat failures and corroded radiators, be sure to replace the coolant every two years, especially if you still have that miserable Dex-Cool antifreeze in there. It is normal for acids to build up in the coolant, and the additives in antifreeze that neutralize that wears out in about two years.
