If overdrive, does the problem go away in drive? I have an older roadmaster, it does the same thing in o/d with a load, I just downshift into drive. I don't ever use cruise control. I'm not a tranny person.

We tried with manually changing the gear and it still did it.

If you don't think it is a tranny issue, how long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes?
