need supercharge belt?

my supercharge is makeing clickink around the pulley thats connected to the supercharge IS IT OK TO NOT HAVE THE BELT FOR THE SUPERCHARGE OR DO I NEED IT ON THERE. DESPERATE QUESTION.

You can run them without the belt just fine.
