second gear grinds in my bmw 318 i wats the best thing to do for now?? just got a new clutch

BMW transmissions can sometimes be crunchy into 2nd gear. Try draining the tranny oil out and refilling it with Redline synthetic gear oil, this alone might eliminate or reduce the crunchiness.
