What is the best way to diagnose where or what is knocking in the engine without tearing down the entire engine? The knock increases with engine speed. Compression check was within normal specs. There is no oil consumption or smoking. There is slow acceleratiion and or power loss on acceleration. Please help if possible..thanks

often you can isolate a big end bearing by knocking out an injector and if it is that cylinder the knock will decrease as there is less load on that bearing with the injector not working.
