1995 VW jetta fuel filter removal

How to remove fuel filter cover on 1995 VW jetta .....no one seema to know about this cover!!

If trying to change filter just loosen clamp the bracket has two bolts either side filler neck

The filter housing is held to the underside of the car via two 17mm nuts.

Remove the two nuts and the pull the filter housing off of the threaded studs... there are clips
that hold the housing to the threads of the studs... you can use a screwdriver to help lever them
off.

Once the fuel filter & housing are off of the studs, remove the two clamps form either side of
the fuel filter. Stock VW clamps need to be broken off with a pair of cutting pliers.

Remove the filter from the plastic housing after the hoses have been pulled off... keep a rag
near by, as fuel will spill out of the filter once you pull the hoses off.

Install in reverse, but use reusable worm-drive clamps to secure the fuel hoses to the filter.
