clutch pedal replacement for corsa montana

hi we have a corsa montana n reg,when we got it it was fine but underneath the clutch pedal it has 2 hooks that hold the cable on 1 of them has snapped the cable is in tact and is still working off the 1 hook on the pedal but we have kids and therefore need to fix this could you tell me if this job is easy to fix ourselves and do we need a new cable or just the pedal please get back to me plz thanks x

we have no info for vauxhalls. it may be a cable or it could be just the clips holding it in.sorry
