Sorry I should have asked how do you remove the console in order to install the new plastic shift plate? Step One? Step two?

Our database does not have any diagrams or instructions on the removal or installation so I have to go by experience and hope my explanation is clear enough..

The center console is held down by a few screws. Locate the screws and remove them. Lift the console out, remove the rear console first if equipped.
The plate is held by screws at each corners and have to be removed.
REmove the gear shift by removing the screws holding them. While doing so, press the shift button to prevent it from shooting out. While insalling, you have to press the **** fully in before pushing it down to tighten the screws.
