I have never heard of a 5 cylinder Landcruiser engine. Can you provide the engine code?

I guess you must be refering to the PZ engine, a diesel. We do not have any information in our database for this engine and Toyota temperature sending units are located around the thermostat area. Check the upper radiator hose to where it connects to the angine and it should be there.

It should be on the cylinder head and somewhere nearby. Can you see the thermostat housing? Check around it. A one wire connection.
