You mean the starter is cranking when battery terminals are reinstalled or engine starts by itself?

Could be the starter motor, starter relay and ignition switch

Recheck the starter. Most probably the starter solenoid terminals have turned away from its original position causing the solenoid contacts to be in stuck in operated position.
