overheats when idling

car drives but overheats when idling either in traffic or parked and makes raddling noise when accelerating. car has coolant in radiator but the overflow tank keeps drying up. whats wrong

sounds like you have a large leaking coolant system. check for a head gasket problem. have it pressure tested.
