The red BRAKE warning light has been on. I have engaged and disengaged my parking brake and jiggled it up and down and it doesn't seem to flicker, so I don't think that's the problem. I do sometimes notice my brakes squeaking, but some things that I have read say that worn brakes wouldn't be the cause. I haven't noticed a loss in pressure when I hit the brakes. What could be the cause of the light?

Check the brake fluid level and if you find it low, check the front brake wear.

The brake master cylinder can be replaced quite easily on this vehicle.

I have attached the master cylinder procedure for anyone else might come across the same issue.

Any questions please feel free to let us know.
Thank you.
