My car is not moving when I push the pedal, but is making loud noises and will go if I push really hard on the pedal but again, with extremely loud "rev"ing sounds. It is fine when I put it in reverse but it is a bit difficult to drive forward. I was told that it may be an issue with my emergency brake, but I have not been able to locate it. Please help

Sounds like the transmission is slipping in forward gears rather than the emergency brakes.

The emergency brakes are at rear wheels.
