Car Stutter

Greetings!

I own a 1995 Camry, 4 cyl, LE, and just noticed today that when I break and come to a full stop, the car stutters a bit as if it were missing, though the problem is unnoticable when in park. As soon as I engage the gears - reverse, Drive, L2, etc, I experience the same symptoms. I just had the car checked out - the oil is changed and the fluid levels are all normal. My mechanic did though suggest I have the fronts pads changed in March or so. It also does fine driving - the problem occurs when I slow down to a crawl or stop.

Is it my breaks, my converter?

I'm very grateful for your response.
grateful me!

Neither. When was the last tune up? And is the check engine light on? If so, scan for codes.

If not, check idle air control, fuel pressure regulator for leaks, all vacuum hoses for leaks, dirty throttle, MAF/TPS sensors.

No check engine light, and the car was just checked over three days ago.

That I'm uncertain of actually. I will be heading out to a mechanic tomorrow equipped with your suggestions - the other thought I had was bad gas, but again, the car seems to do fine a regular speeds.

Are any of these issues time consuming?

If your computer shows no codes, then testing those sensors will be time consuming and needs to be done by a tech.

Bad gas would usually prevent you from accelerating smoothly, but you could always check.

Get back with me if you need more help.

Ernest,

Thank you very much - my car can be code checked, so I'll be certain to mention all the items you suggested to the mechanic.

Again,
My regards
