Car has been sitting over summer.
Went to start- Battery very dead. Jumped it easily. Started great.
Ran it around town for a half hour. Turned off and went to start- no luck.
Got a new battery fully charged.
Installed it. Went to start and it starts to turn over and then does the rapid ticking sound of a weak battery. Jumped it and starts easily.
Ran it for half an hour. Turned off and went to restart- it tries to turn over then ticky noise again.
Connections are good, but I am out of ideas. Help.

Connection is bad somewhere. Clean and retighten the terminals. Ensure the gound cable from battery to transmission is secure and in good condition.

Btw check the battery. It could be drained or not fully charged. If it is drained, check the alternator charging.
