When you use my for the first time each day we'll get down the road abit and then the car loses power and then stops. After sitting there for awhile we can then start it up and it'll go sweet for the rest of the day. On top of that the temp gauge rises to the halfway mark pretty fast. Any suggestions on what might be the problem? I've had people tell me that the radiator may be blocked, the themostat might need to be changed and the head gasket may need replacing.

What you need to do is check if the car looses ignition spark when it faulters, sounds more like a fuel problem, have you run a diagnosis scan as yet, as for the cooling system, this sounds fine, are you loosing coolant or over heating at all?
