Need help with diagnosing

Car runs fine till you get up to about 65 and try to keep that steady speed. Then it acts like its not getting enough gas or air and it cuts out but dont die. This is a 95 grand am gt 6 cylinder. What do you expect the problem could be

I have a few questions. Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Have you checked the catalytic converter to make sure it isn't plugging?
