My 1995 Opel Kadett 160 brakes are flat. New brake pads for front wheels fitted and all tyres bled. Master brake cylinder changed but brakes are still flat.

Did you bleed the master cylinder before you installed it?

When you are bleeding the brakes how much pressure is coming out of the wheel cylinders? One other thing, when you got the new master cylinder did you major the depth of the whole were brake rod goes in? And make sure the depth of the whole are the same?

The problem had been there but manageable before the new master cylinder was installed. After the recent installation it became worse. The newly installed cylinder is an exact replica of the old one. Before the change, I had to pump the brake twice to bring the car to a stop. Now, it is just air since the installation of the new parts.
