1995 Oldsmobile Achieva Car 4 Cylinder Engine Automatic Once You Start Car

Car has the 4 cylinder engine and automatic. Once you start the car, idle goes up to 2500 rpm. I been told it is the idle air sensor or throttle body sensor. Are Olds known for this problem. How should I properly diagnose the problem?

clean throttle plate and iac with chokecleaner then check for a vacuum leak.
