what is an A/C Evaporator core?

I'm trying to determine, if the a/c condenser, and a/c evaporator core are one and the same.

They not the same the condenser is on the front with the radiator and the evaporator is on AC/Heater unit

The condenser takes gaseous refrigerant and cools it, condensing it into a liquid. It sits in front of your radiator.

The evaporator is in the AC/Heater airbox and takes pressurized refrigerant and turns it into a vapor.
