Keep stalling getting error message above? The check engine light does come on but goes back off when the car starts back up and no the car isn't over heating.

Hello,

This sounds like you have a engine coolant temperature sensor that is off a little but not enough to set a code. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when doing the job.

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Cheers

The check engine light only comes on when it stalls. We hooked it to a scanner but it didn't show any codes. Also my husband has been driving it and it has not done it again in the last day lol. Maybe a short somewhere?

The indicator is to tell you the engine is running too hot and that the AC is turned off to eliminate additional load on the engine. However, you said the vehicle never overheated or ran hot. Here is the location of the sensor so you can change it out.

Correct, it never got hot. And we never use the a/c. I changed the sensor like you said and now the problem is gone thanks for hanging in there with me. I love this site.
