GOT 2 THINGS A-GOIN'

THE COMPRESSOR BEING LOCKED UP.

. AND THE CLUTCH BEARINGS BEING LOCKED UP

WHICH IS IT?

IF THE CLUTCH WILL FREE-WHEELS FINE, WITH THE A/C OFF OR ANY HEAT MODE THAT USES "DEFROST".(A/C AND DEFROST MAKE THE COMPRESSOR COME ON). THEN.

WHY DON'T YOU JUST UNPLUG THE CLUTCH SO IT CANNOT ACTIVATE EVER.'TILL YOU CAN FIX IT RIGHT. THAT'S ALL!

. HOWEVER, IF IT IS THE CLUTCH LOCKING UP. NOT THE COMPRESSOR.A BYPASS PULLEY OR A SHORTER BELT MAY BE A TEMPORARY FIX. THESE MAY WORK AS LONG AS THE BELT DOES NOT RUB AGAINST SOMETHING. THE "SHORTER BELT OPTION" IS GENERALLY A TRIAL AND ERROR THING

I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE "HOLD" THE TENSIONER PULLEY ABOUT IN IT'S NORMAL "TENSIONED POSITION" WITH A "PULL BAR/ HANDLE" AND THREAD A ROPE THRU THE PULLEYS. KEEPING IT TIGHT. EITHER CUTTING IT OR MARKING IT. THEN TAKING IT TO THE PARTS STORE AND COMPARING IT TO BELTS, UNTIL THEY GOT A CLOSE ONE. THIS CAN BE DONE USING THE OLD BELT TOO

LEMME KNOW HOW IT GOES
