Nephew has a Nissan truck with a 2in body lift kit that was installed before purchase...

the lower steering assembly with the rag joint next to the power steering gear box is stripped... he has went to the dealership and bought a new part but this part will not work because it is too short due to the lift kit.. is there a resolution to fix other than taking the lift off?
