i look the chain over and it has no damage can i just replace the guide?

There was a rattling noise under the valve cover in my car and it was the upper guide to the timing chain had broke so can i just replace the guide?

I would get a timing chain kit chain guides and tenisor.It would be foolish to just replace the guides while your already in there and you know what usually happens when you try to do something like that.Atleast if i were to try something like lol the chain would break the tenisor would fail etc.I always do the whole kit replacing anything to do with the timing chain.
