Gearbox is ready to drop out why wont it separate from the engine looks like thrust bearing is connected to pressure plate how does it come off.

This should be a conventional push type clutch, the bearing may have collapsed or a pressure plate finger may have collapsed and jagged the thrust bearing, it should separate with out any problem,
