The alternator is tightened to an adjusting bracket with a slot. Loosen the holding bolt ( and adjuster bolt if equipped). Tug at the alternator belt and the altrnator should move to loosen thebelt tension.
Remove belt and reinstall new belt. Use a bar to pry the alternator outwards to get th e required tension on the belt before tightening the holding bolt. Use adjuster bolt for adjusting the belt tension if equipped.
