the transmission has been slow 2 change into gear for quite a while now but until about 2 weeks ago it has decided 2 start jumping from 5th into 3rd when i accelerate 2 much and wont change out of 3rd

check the fluid. if it is ok, then most likely internal failure and the unit will have to be re built.
