clicking sound

Yesterday check battery and parking break light came on, started running rough, stalled, got a jump, turned right over but kept dying out, (rather quicky) Now when you try to start on it's own, gt the rapid clicking...***battery 2 months old. Thank you

The generator is not recharging the battery. You can prove this by measuring battery voltage with the engine running. It must be between 13.75 and 14.75 volts. If it is near 12.0 to 12.6 volts, further testing can determine if the generator is defective or if there is a wiring problem.
