1995 Mercury Tracer mileage: 120,000. My Tracer runs good during the day, but when my headlights are on it will not shift. Could this be a need for new spark plugs?

Have the charging system checked out to rule out a weak alternator could be causing the shift problem due to sensors are not getting the correct voltages to operate properly-such as the TCC and shifting solenoids-and the TCM
