1995 Mercury Mystique Vibrating On Car Idling Noticed That Only Idles

i have a vibrating problem on my car when idling. i noticed that it only idles at about 550 rpm which i think is a little low. when i rev the engine up the vibrating goes away. would low rpm cause a car to vibrate and if i adjusted the rpm would the vibrating go away.
