losing power then engine stalls while running

1995 s420 mercedes it starts and drive but then it looses power and turn off, it could start again specialy when it cools off but still turn off again. Changed fuel pump and fuel filter but proplem still exists. What could be the proplem?

Check to make sure the catalytic converter is not plugged. When the engine doesn't restart, check to see if there is spark and fuel to the engine.
