Tranny had slight clunk when going in to reverse-now, no sound, but a longer time to engage

Wondering what may cause this-tranny fluid? Reverse going out? Any adjustable bands? Time to get rid of it?

Symptom indicates trans is on its way out. It could be the valve body and only a proper diagnosis would be able to tell you what is wrong.
