1995 Mazda B2300 Just Replaced Alternator On Truck Now Won T Charge Other Than

I just replaced the alternator on my truck and now the alternator won't charge. Other than the obvious that i could have gotten a bad alternator what else could be the problem?

Was the old one tested as bad?Do you have a multi meter to do some testing?
