1995 Lincoln Mark VIII won't turn off once started. Ignition switch was replaced but same problem persists. Can the ignition lock set cause this? Is there linkage in the steering column that the lockset engages to move the ignition switch position from off to on and on to off?

SAW YOU HAD BEEN WAITING

IMMA JEEP CJ KINDA GUY...CANNOT THROW YOU A QUICK FIX

I MAY BE ABLE TO GET YOU A EZ TO READ WIRE DIAGRAM, YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO SEE IF (FOR EXAMPLE) A WIRE FROM ANOTHER SYSTEM, LIKE FROM THE ALTERNATOR, WAS CONNECTED TO THE IGNITION SYSTEM...OR OTHER

THESE NEWER RIGS HAVE SO MANY COMPONENTS, THE DIAGRAM MIGHT IDENTIFY A RELAY, ETC, THAT THE CONTACTS HAVE "WELDED" (OR STUCK) TOGETHER...THE DIAGRAMS ALSO LIST THE LOCATIONS OF MUCH OF THE STUFF.

LET ME KNOW IF YOU YOU WANT ME TO TRY TO FIND IT!
