what is the proper amp for the alternator on a 1995 lincoln continental

put altanator in car changed battery wont stay started. took car to merchants they said the alternator is not strong enough to keep car running they said its not charging enough

I only see one alternaotr listed for that car its a 130amp.So what is the charging voltage at the battery cables at idle?
