codes are p0720, p0500

Hello, I have a Lexus es300 year 1995. I have a few codes that came up and my dad and I can’t figure out how to fix it. The codes are p0720, p0500 one is speed sensor and the other is trans speed sensor. It started with nook (not sure how to spell) sensor which made my check engine to light up, so we had it replaced. Not too long after it my car started to shift gears in a weird was, cause its automatic car I wasn't sure what that was all about until it started to stall in the middle of driving. I have to press gas constantly like it was a clutch. I can’t figure out how to fix it, if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it,

Have the throttle position and vehicle speed sensors checked and tested, also the torque converter clutch solenoid checked too for the P0740
