1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Water Pump Went Out Someone Repaired Leaking Took Off

water pump went out someone repaired it and was leaking so I took off the water pump cleaned both surfaces and put on omega black high temp sealant and it is still leaking... The leak is slowed but what other reasons could cause a leak to run down the front of the water pump?
