I reently bought a 95 Jeep grand Cherokee v8 4x4. It is having a fe issues but the most recent is a major clunk or kick back noise, almost sounds and feels like im getting hit from behind, when I push the brake. The transmission is slipping a little and it has lost a some power. Nothing leading up to this problem is just started happening.

Is the spare tire inside on the left or hanging underneath? If it's underneath, check if it's loose.

No it currently does not have a spare tire. It sounds as if it may be the drive shaft or maybe abs. There is a wire that is hanging down that should be connected and looks like it broke off, could this go to the abs system and be causing it to lock up?

Don't think so. Anything with the ABS will turn the yellow warning light on and disable the system. That leaves you with the regular base brake system which won't be any more prone to wheel lockup than a vehicle without the ABS system. Someone might have removed two fuses to disable the ABS system to hide the warning light. A quick way to tell is the light should turn on for seven seconds as a bulb test when you turn on the ignition switch.

Im thinking this could be it, I also have a faulty fuse so this could be why the light is not coming on. For now the best thing I can do is park it and drive my 100% reliable Subaru :) Thanks
