I have a 95 jeep cherokee sport. I just had a new sepentine belt and new idler pully put on. Now it makes a bird like chirping noise. Can this noise be stopped and since I got the new belt it over heats. Thanks

Yes the belt is on right. Took the jeep in last Saturday. The service person but on 2 belts so far but is still chirping loud and over heating 2 or 3 minuets while driving. The service person thinks it is the water pump but I think the thermostat is stick. I hope it is not a cracked head.

check the belt alignment and pressure check the coolant system for leaks like ahead gasket. if it overheats quick it could be a tstat for the overheat problem
