how i replace transmission infiniti j30/95

Transmission Removal

Disconnect negative battery cable.
Remove crankshaft position sensor from transaxle.
Remove exhaust pipe.
Remove fluid fill pipe and oil cooler pipe from transmission.
Remove control linkage from selector lever.
Unplug inhibitor switch and solenoid harness connectors.
Remove speedometer cable and drive shaft.
Plug all openings.
Remove starter, drive plate cover and torque converter-to-drive plate bolts.

CAUTION:Insert plug into rear oil seal after removing drive shaft. Ensure no damage occurs to spline, sleeve yoke or rear seal when
removing drive shaft.

Support engine/transmission with jack.
Remove rear transmission mounting bracket.
Remove bellhousing bolts.
Lower and remove transmission assembly from vehicle.


Installation
To install, reverse removal procedure.

After connecting torque converter to drive plate, rotate crankshaft several turns to ensure transmission rotates freely.
Check transmission fluid.
Move selector through all positions to ensure transmission operates correctly.
Perform road test.
