My 95' infiniti G20 won't start. Brand new battery, alarm system works fine, I can hear the fuel pump start to work when I try to start the car (lights, radio, and everything comes on) but when I turn the key I dont hear ANYTHING. No clicking, nothing. I think it's the starter, I just don't know how to get to it. I'm not even sure where it's at. The car started when I was knocking on something with a wrench but Im not even sure if that was the starter lol Help finding the starter and possibly a 'how to' replace it? THANKS!

The starter will be aprox at the height of the top of the oil pan. It will bolt into the bell housing of the transmission. See if that helps. Also, if you were tapping on the starter and then it worked, chances are the starter is bad. You can confirm it two ways. Check to see if there is power to the smaller wire on the starter when the key is in the start position. If there is and the starter doesn't work, it's bad. Or, you can remove the starter and have it bench tested at a parts store.
