HiI have a 1995 Hyundai Elantra (J1). When turning the steering wheel, it starts jerking when it nears full turn angle. This only happens when the car is at idle or moving slowly. It has got power steering and the reservoir is full and the pump seems to be working fine.I would like to know what the problem may be.Thanks

Could be a pressure problem or the rack and pinion itself

Check for a loose belt.

Thanks for the responses. Turns out it was the belt that had been falling apart and causing the jerking. Thanks again!!
