My 1995 holden VS commodore is shaking and shuddering profusely on acceleration. What can it be? I've tried everything! I have replaced spark plugs and leads, oil, coolant, new air filter, new oil filter. No change after these.

I then cleaned fuel injectors, filled tank with premium petrol and injector cleaner. After this it ran super smoothly for 3 days before it started shuddering and putting worse than before. It only seems to happen on acceleration, drives smoothly with the foot off. I have been told by mates that in this model the fuel tank can sometimes rust and cause blockages. Is it worth replacing the fuel tank or could it be something else?

It sounds like you may have a a flat camshaft.
