95 Civic wont stay running

I have a 95' Honda Civic. It will start and run for 5-10mins then die. It will not turn over right away, only after sitting for 20mins+. I was told it was most likely the alternator. I had it tested at the parts store and they say its good. Any ideas on what else the problem could be?

The car died on the side of the road. It would not stay running as I mentioned before. I took the battery in to have it charged and then was able to drive it home 20mins away.

You have a fault with the charging system. Get the charging rate tested to verify if it is within specs.
