The haynes manual says to set at number four cylinder TDC to line up the timing marks on the sprockets. Because I know it did not line up and that the haynes manual is wrong most the time, I have to ask. This is a 95 gmc jimmy 2dr 2wd. 4.3 vortec vin W.I have looked for at least ten hours on the computer and still do not have a answer. The dealer cannot help assuming a liability issue. Thank you.

The haynes manual and auto-zones computer both say number four, chlton is made by the same company I believe. Thank you. I will never understand why simple information is so hard to find.
