Earlier this year, I had a new wheel bearing put on my right front tire of my 4wd jimmy. A couple months after it was done I started hearing a grinding/squeeling coming from it. It squeels when I accelerate and when I decelerate it does it also. But what is weird- it doesnt do any type of noise when I'm in 4wd. Only 2wd. What can I do to fix it?

Does the noise change when making turns in 2wd? Does it change when the brakes are applied?

It becomes louder when turning and when the brakes apply- but in 4wd completely silent.

The is actually the opposite of what one would think since the 4wd adds stress to the front end. There are only so many parts that will do that, brakes, wheel bearing, differential (internal bearing), transfer case. I guess it's time to try and narrow it down. Are you certain it is coming from the brake area?
