THIS MAY NOT BE EXACTLY HOW YOUR IS SET UP IT WILL BE SORTA SIMILAR----MY PIC WAS MADE FOR AN "ACURA"
POSSIBLE PROBLEMS YOU MAY HAVE ARE A "BAD SWITCH"----THE SWITCH DISLODGED FROM IT'S HOLDER----OR MAYBE A PART AS SHOWN IN MY PIC (OR SIMILAR) CRUMBLED AWAY INTO THE FLOOR. YOU MAY HAVE SEEN THE PIECES DOWN THERE!
A HAND MIRROR AND A BRIGHT FLASH LIGHT MAY HELP YOU SEE THE WAY YOURS WORKS, AND WHAT MAY BE WRONG (IF IT'S A MECHANICAL PROBLEM) THIS WILL HELP WITHOUT "BREAKING YOUR NECK" (YOU MAY STRAIN IT LATER WHEN YOU ATTEMPT A REPAIR)
YOU WILL NOTICE THE SWITCHES PLUNGER "SHOULD" BE PUSHED IN, WHEN THE PEDAL IS AT REST
MAYBE MY HOME-MADE PIC WILL EXPLAIN BETTER. IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND MY "QUICK FIX", I'LL TRY AGAIN
I DON'T REMEMBER WHOSE CAR I HELPED ON THE 1ST TIME I ENCOUNTERED THIS "STUPID PART"---WE WERE UNABLE TO FIND IT AT SEVERAL PARTS STORES (MUST BE A DEALER ITEM) SO WE USED A PLASTIC TRIM DEALEE (LIKE HOLDS THE DOOR PANEL OR CARPET IN YOUR TRUNK---WE STACKED A FEW WASHERS UNDER IT AND. WAH-LAH! IT PUSHED INTO THE HOLE AND WAS NOW TALL ENOUGH TO DEPRESS THE SWITCH
LEMME KNOW IF THIS HELPS AT ALL
GOOD LUCK!
